Italy is on everyone’s bucket list, and it lives up to the hype! Venice is a dreamscape. Everywhere you look, there is beauty. Not only is it surreal to be in a floating city, but it has the effect of a time capsule, creating a magical, mysterious place unlike any other. And the BIG Life girls are going there together!
Venice, Italy is our May stop on our 2025 Retreat schedule. Gondola rides, fabulous Italian food, and a luxurious house in Venice await on this ultimate all-girls trip!

This is not a gathering of overly religious, uptight gals. This is a gathering of girls who love Jesus and the great big beautiful life he came to give us, so we get out there and enjoy every ounce of it.

The Ultimate Slumber Party
Our retreat house is an absolutely stunning, historic mansion straight out of a magazine, in the heart of Venice. 5 bedrooms plus 6 bathrooms, with over 5,000 square feet of luxury. And that private garden … does it get any better? Pinch me! Better yet, just bring me a cappuccino to sip in the garden with my 12 best friends!
There are no private rooms and all King beds are shared. (10 will be in beds and 2 will be on sofas.) Spots will be selected two weeks prior to retreat in order of ticket purchase.

THURSDAY: WELCOME TO THE MANSION
Check-in at the retreat mansion in Venice at 4 pm on Thursday, 5/15.
From the Venice airport (Marco Polo) you will take the Alilaguna (large boat taxi) to our stop in Venice and easily find the mansion on foot. No car rental will be necessary. (All travel is separate.)
Thursday evening, we will have a welcome party with an Italian feast served in our Retreat mansion.
FRIDAY: VENICE
On Friday, we will explore Venice on foot, soaking in all the sights such as St. Mark’s Square, Basilica and Doge’s Palace. Oh, and all the shopping in Venice! The most beautiful Italian leather at incredibly cheap prices will amaze you. And of course, a bucketlist worthy gondola ride will be included in your adventures! It’s an absolute must while in Venice.
Cappuccinos and pastries will be served each morning (included), while all other meals will be enjoyed out at fabulous local Italian restaurants (not included).
SATURDAY: MURANO & BURANO
On Saturday, we will hop on the Vaporetto (boat) and venture to two other nearby Venetian islands. First, Murano, home of the world famous Murano glass. There we will watch a glass blowing demonstration and visit the shops along the beautiful canal for a little glass treasure to take home.
Afterwards, we will visit the island of Burano, known for it’s bright and colorful canal houses. This is your fun photo op!
SUNDAY: LAKE GARDA
Sunday, we will hop on a train in Venice and take the 3 hour train ride to breathtaking Lake Garda. This is the largest lake in Italy, sitting at the foot of the Garda Mountains. A boat tour will take us to all the most beautiful spots on the lake.
MONDAY: FAREWELL
Monday morning, we will have our final cappuccinos and croissants together while we share a morning devotional time in the mansion’s private garden, before our final farewells at 10 am. You will take the Alilaguna (large boat taxi) back to the Venice/Marco Polo Airport to depart for your travel home.
