Do you want God’s blessings on your life? Do you want ridiculous provision and undeniable favor from Heaven? What if I told you I know exactly how to get it? What if I could show you exactly what has been blocking the blessings, and how to remove the blockage and open the floodgates?

Oh, it’s right in your bible and it’s spelled out so clearly, but the truth is, we really don’t like it. We avoid it. In fact, we avoid it to the point that we resist the scripture even being spoken. And rightfully so, it’s been used and abused for centuries and the enemy has had nothing but a hayday in the process. Of course the devil loves this misuse because our avoidance causes us to miss out on ridiculous, overflowing blessings intended for us. We lose, he wins, and God still sits in heaven with all he wants to give you.

The avoided scripture is of course about money. Eeeeekkkkk, we all just pulled away a bit. Now before I share this with you, let me remind you, there isn’t even a way for you to send me money. I’m not only NOT asking for a dime, but I can’t even guilt you into trying. There’s no donation website. There’s no fundraising. I’ve got nothing for ya to buy today. So, when I share this, you can know my intentions are not twisted, my spirit is convicted.

Malachi 3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

Did you even know the last sentence in that scripture? You knew the first one. You’ve rolled your eyes over the “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse”, but in your eye rolling did you miss that God said “test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” God is talking about ridiculous blessings here. He is telling you how to remove the blockage in your life. There’s something blocking you from receiving all God has for you, and you know what it is … all you’re holding back.

Your tithe is 10% of your income. When you make $100, $10 of that is your tithe. You keep $90, $10 is God’s. Super simple math. I challenge you to speak to anyone who faithfully tithes and ask them if God hasn’t blessed them. Go ahead and ask if God has responded to their commitment by pouring out blessings.

But my sister, this isn’t just about your money. We get so caught up on money that we forget God is talking to us about our entire lives. Give him a portion of your day and see what he does with your entire day. Give him a portion of your goals and see what he does with your entire vision board. Give him a corner in your house and see what he does with your entire household. Test him in this and you will be blown away.

God simply wants SPACE in your life to work. That’s what he requires. Space in your money, that’s what your tithe creates. When you’re willing to release a portion, space is created for God to do what only God can do. Now imagine what he wants to do in the rest of your life. Oh you don’t even have to imagine, he tells us exactly what he will do … He will throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

You will have so much goodness, you will absolutely HAVE to share it. You can’t contain it.

I know you want God’s ridiculous blessings on your life. I know you desire his undeniable favor. Then all I’ve got to say about that is, sister, quit holding yourself back. What is blocking you from all God has available to you is all you’re holding back. All you’re refusing to release complete control of. Give God space in your life!

I have a storage unit in El Paso, TX with everything I own in it. It’s a small storage because we sold most everything when we sat out on our traveling adventures. But there were some things I just couldn’t let go of. They’ve now been in storage so long I’ve totally forgotten what’s even in the boxes. We’ve been planning our return trip to Texas this fall to empty that storage and move what little we decide to keep to Florida. Earlier this week I had a dream about those boxes and I saw all my beautiful shoes. My gorgeous dresses. My fall sweaters. My forest green lululemon leggings. Oh my goodness, I had forgotten about all I had! I woke up in a complete panic thinking how in the world am I going to get rid of all of it? Will I have time to sell it? Can I really just give it away? How much can I cram in our truck with us? My peace had been completely rocked over the thought of letting go of things I haven’t even touched in over a year.

How stupid is that?

Yet that’s exactly what we do. We refuse to let go of things we haven’t even touched. You haven’t really be utilizing every hour of your day, yet the thought of giving God one of those hours is ridiculous! You don’t have time for that. How could you possibly fit God into your schedule.? How could you fit this tithing business into your budget? You haven’t really held control, yet the thought of releasing it scares the crap out of you.

But what are you sacrificing as you hold on? By you holding back, what exactly are you being held back from?

What if my tight grip to a storage unit in Texas is blocking me from the storehouses of Heaven? That’s a bad trade!

What is your tight grip blocking you from? What is your over-crowded, over-scheduled, over-committed, over-whelmed life blocking you from in the storehouses of Heaven? Won’t you give God some space? Won’t you remove the blockage and let his blessings flow on you?

This is the only place in the Bible where God says to test him. This is it, and he’s saying
“Do what I ask you to about giving and see if I do not bless you beyond anything imaginable.” He’s warning us it seems almost too good to be true, so you’re just going to have to test him and see. Your mind will not make sense of this.

When you get over the money issue, you understand what God is asking of you is to just be available. Make available space for him, and yes that includes your finances, but it goes so far beyond that. Money is a really good place to start if you’re wondering. And if you don’t go to a church, find an organization doing God’s good work and give back to God there. Our tithe goes to a Christian orphanage in Mexico that helped save our daughters and so many others. If there’s not 10% wiggle room in your budget, then start with 1%. I’m serious. Could you start with $1 of that $100? That’s where we had to start because there was always more month at the end of our paycheck in those early years.

Can you give God 5 minutes of your day? Can you give him a chair in your house that’s dedicated to your time with him? Could you give him one of your Spotify playlists? Could you give him your time in the car? Could you give him 30 seconds before each meal? Could you give him the first minute of your day when the alarm rings?

Test him and see. Oh, what he does in response to the space you offer him is beyond anything you could ever imagine. The floodgates of heaven will open on you to the point you can’t contain what he is pouring out.

What space will you offer him? Will you declare your life is available? Your blockage just budged and God is preparing his blessings to flow!
