I woke up in the early hours of this morning with today’s message. It was so clear, and I’m just here relaying the message. God told me that His girl is going to be listening today (that’s YOU!) and he wants you to hear these words from him: “You can, because I am.”
You can do this. You question if you can, but you can. You wonder if you’re good enough, but you are.
You can move forward.
You can get through this.
You can overcome this.
You can rise above this.
You can stand in victory.
You can, because God says “I am.”
I am with you.
I am choosing you.
I am guiding you.
I am filling you.
I am equipping you.
I am anointing you.
I am setting you apart for a time such as this, and YOU CAN!
Girl, look at scripture. We have story after story of ordinary people doing extraordinary things simply because of their God who was working in and through them. You and I are no different, we are ordinary people capable of extraordinary things because of the power of our God.
Do you believe that today? I mean really believe it to the point you’re willing to take the next step in absolute faith knowing God is speaking directly to you when he says “You can, because I am.”
Daniel could spend the night in a lion’s den and come out without a scratch.
Jonah could end up in the belly of a whale, overcome his past mistakes, and still be used to fulfill God’s great purpose.
Noah could spend 100 years of his life building a boat in the middle of a drought while everyone laughed, and then save his entire family.
David could take down a giant with a single stone.
Joshua could march around impossible walls and watch them crumble.
Moses could part the seas with his staff and save thousands of people.
The woman at the well could find forgiveness and walk away with a tremendous purpose.
Ruth could find happiness again after losing her husband.
Oh what could a girl like you with a God like yours do? Well, the impossible!
Maybe you have an impossible in your life right now … or maybe you just have a “this is really hard” in your life. Maybe it’s day 2 of 3 day juice cleanse and you’re not sure if you can go another day without chewing food. Maybe you’re getting dressed for another day of dealing with difficult people at a hard job. Maybe you’re waking up to chaos in your family, knowing it’s your responsibility to take care of this. Maybe the odds are stacked really high against you and every logical person would tell you this is highly unfavorable.
Well, now is the perfect time for the words of Jesus, the one who is above all things, knows all things, and holds all things. Jesus says in Matthew 19:26 ““With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Most of us know that scripture, but have you ever looked it up in different translations? Oh girl, hold on to your butt, this one is going to get you!
The Passion Translation says “what seems impossible to you is never impossible to God!”
The Message Translation puts it this way: ““There’s no chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it.”
This seems impossible to you right now, and sister it is if you try to do it yourself. But you have every chance in the world if you trust God in this. This has never been impossible to God, and it’s not impossible today.
Hear God right now as he meets you exactly where you are at this moment as he says “My girl, you can, because I am.”
He is God. Nothing is too hard for him. This is not too hard for him. This isn’t too far gone for him. This isn’t too ridiculous for him. This isn’t too little for him to care about, or too big for him to touch. He’s all over this!!!!
YOU CAN DO THIS!
Every example shared here today from scripture of people doing impossible things required a partnership. A partnership of God’s power to do the impossible, and the other person’s willingness to step into that power. Now, you are the other person.
This is your lion’s den. This is your Red Sea. This is your walls of Jericho. This is your battle with the giant. This is your belly of the whale. This is your moment at the well. Oh how I pray you step into the power God has for you here.
Remember, you can move forward.
You can get through this.
You can overcome this.
You can rise above this.
You can stand in victory.
You can, because God says “I am.”
I am with you.
I am choosing you.
I am guiding you.
I am filling you.
I am equipping you.
I am anointing you.
I am setting you apart for a time such as this, and YOU CAN!
