There may be things you have done before that simply have no place in your life now. There may be old thought patterns that served to protect you back then, but honey, they gotta go now because they’re really limiting your ability to step into the big, beautiful, overflowing plans God has for your life.
You were created with the unique ability to learn, grow and change. Unlike other creatures, you have been given the divine right to abandon that which is no longer beneficial, and do something totally new. And you can do that today. Now, let me give you 6 words of pure power to speak in the face of every single bad habit, negative tendency, or hurtful pattern you’ve got going on in your life.
I DON’T DO THAT ANY MORE.
I don’t need to justify it. I don’t need to examine or explain it. I’ve just decided I don’t do that any more.
It sounds like this:
I used to give up at the first sign of struggle, but I don’t do that any more.
I used to drink to cope, but I don’t do that any more.
I used to jump into relationships to avoid being alone, but I don’t do that any more.
I used to make impulsive decisions, but I don’t do that any more.
I used to say the meanest things to my own self, but I don’t do that any more.
I used to believe the whispers of the enemy that tell me I’m not enough, but I don’t do that any more.
I used to play little over fear of rejection, but I don’t do that any more.
I used to over-commit and completely exhaust myself, but I don’t do that any more.
I used to fret and worry, but I don’t do that any more.
I SIMPLY DON’T DO THAT ANY MORE.
Why?
Romans 12:2 – I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind.
When you decide you don’t do what you used to do, your life begins the process of transformation. That simple decision allows healing to begin, chains to be broken, patterns to be changed, and a totally new path to be formed. That path leads to the abundance of the life your Creator always envisioned for you. The life he so desperately hoped you would choose.
Honey, it always starts in your mind. When your mind is renewed, you change. When you change, things start changing.
Do you know the definition of insanity? It’s doing the same thing, expecting different results. If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you will certainly keep getting what you’ve been getting. It would be crazy to assume anything different would come from the same patterns.
Yet, that’s exactly the thought process the enemy tries to keep you stuck in. Keep thinking these same thoughts, and lose another piece of your soul as absolutely nothing changes. Keep doing these same things, believing one day it will all be different for you, then dwell in sheer disappointment when the same old stuff you’ve been running from chases you into every tomorrow.
At some point, you have to stand up as the chosen daughter of the King and say, I DON’T DO THAT ANY MORE! Reclaim your mental space, reclaim your daily choices, reclaim your dreams and desires, and stop letting them be bombarded with the ploys of the devil.
YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH.
YOU ARE CAPABLE OF CHANGE.
YOU CAN FINISH WHAT YOU START.
YOU ARE DESERVING OF GOOD THINGS.
And all that crap you used to believe, you used to do, and you used to fall victim to … well, you don’t do that any more.
There are some families that need to gather around a table and declare, the fighting stops. We don’t do that any more.
There’s a sister who needs to look in the mirror at the girl she has allowed to be so beat down and declare I don’t do that any more.
There’s someone who needs to log out of Amazon and stop wasting her money and declare I don’t do that any more.
There’s someone who needs to pour out the alcohol that’s slowly been gaining a hold in her life and declare I don’t do that any more.
There’s someone with a toxic relationship you know is going no where good, and declare I don’t do that any more.
There’s someone who has been hitting the snooze button and creating chaos in their mornings, and they need to declare I don’t do that any more.
Use the power God has given you to change what needs to change, and decide it changes now! Decide no matter how long you’ve been doing it, and regardless of the deeply ingrained habit it has become, through Christ, it STOPS NOW.
You need to get fired up and spicy about all the enemy has taken from you. How dare he invade your mornings and bombard you with such negativity. How dare he step foot in your home and attack your family from within. How dare he poke at old wounds thinking he can hurt you all over again. No, girl, you are healed in the name of Jesus! The devil deserves absolutely zero space in your head, evict him with aggressive authority!
You’ve been wrapped up in those negative thoughts, bombarded by whispered lies from the pits of hell, convinced what you’ve done is what you will always be stuck doing and nothing will ever change for you … WELL YOU’RE WRONG. YOU DON’T DO THAT ANY MORE!
You have that power in Christ. The power to change. The power to stop. The power to receive truth. The power to evict lies. The power to be positive. The power to take action. The power to go in a radically different direction and never look back.
Now, how about a firey little song to go along with that new 6 word sentence?

Oh yes, you used to believe you weren’t worthy, but you don’t do that any more.
You used to give up on the things you really wanted, but you don’t do that any more.
You used to make some world class screwed up choices, but you don’t do that any more.
You used to be stuck in worry, indecision, and overwhelm, but you don’t do that any more.
Your life is being transformed by a renewed mind!!!!! You simply don’t do what you used to do. That’s over!
Colossians 3: 9-11 “You have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. In this new life, Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us!”
Hey girl, remember your worth comes from the one who made you, and he has already declared you are worthy! Worthy of goodness that will blow your mind and good plans you can’t possibly imagine. And everything that has held you back in the past, well you simply don’t do that any more!
The enemy will try to convince you that you don’t have that power, but girl, you do!
